Submission Period
  • Triad’s Got Talent Application will be live on September 10, 2014 and applications may be submitted until October 31, 2014 

  • An Entry fee of $25.00 made to Open Door Ministries is required only for those invited to the live auditions

  • Apply at http://triadsgottalent.wix.com/home, or email your application to: triadsgottalent@gmail.com

  • Applications should include an audition video of no more than 3 minutes as an unlisted YouTube link and should be submitted to triadsgottalent@gmail.com.

  • The video submissions will become the property of Triad’s Got Talent and may be used for promotional purposes.

Contest Judging
  • Following the submission period, judges will view all properly submitted applications and videos

  • Finalists will be chosen for the first round of live judging and artists will be notified by December 8th.

  • First round of live auditions and judging will be held in High Point, NC at Wesleyan Academy on Friday and Saturday January 9 & 10 for the top 50-60 acts.

  • All performances conducted at the live auditions must the same performance delivered if selected as a finalist for the live show. Any changes could result in disqualification.

  • Artists will be notified of their acceptance into the live show no later than January 15, 2015
Finalist Judging/Voting Period

 

  • The Live Triad’s Got Talent performance will take place on Saturday, February 7th, 2015 at The High Point Theatre for the top 10-12 acts

  • A panel of celebrity judges will determine by scoring and vote the winners 

  • Judging will be based on a 100% scale as follows:

    • Entertainment Value & Appeal – 40%

    • Creativity & Originality – 30%

    • Ability – 30%

    • Odds on winning depend on the number of acts that enter. All decisions by the judges are final on all aspects of the TGT Contest.

Winner Notification
  • Winners will be announced at the live show on Saturday, February 7th, 2015 at the High Point Theatre. 
Eligibility
  • Ages 8 to 108 may apply

  • Minors under the age of 18 must have a signature of a parent or legal guardian consenting for them to compete and release their video audition to TGT.

  • Acts/Artists may not be professional or have a professional agent 

  • Artist categories will include:

    • Movement: Dance/ Gymnastic/Acrobatic

    • Musical: Voice/Musical Instrument/Band

    • Variety: Comedy/Drama/Magic

    • All performances must be family friendly and appropriate for an audience of all ages.

    • Act/performer must be available for rehearsal on February 5th and during the day February 7th.

    • Contestants must arrive to the High Point Theatre full dressed and ready to perform on February 7th as there is limited dressing room space. There is space for make-up/touch up as well as space to leave instruments or props during show breaks.

2014-15 Contest Rules and Definitions

The first annual Triad’s Got Talent presented by Open Door Ministries and The High Point Theatre has arrived and we are searching for the most talented performers in the triad. TGT’s Talent Committee will accept a limited number of entries and select the best 50-60 for initial live auditions. The top finalists will be selected to perform live for our celebrity panel of judges with a chance to win the top prize of $1,000 and be named Triad’s Most Talented.

Prize
  • Prize money will be paid to the top three places (or to all finalists in the Live Show)

    • 1st Place - $1,000

    • 2nd Place - $ 500

    • 3rd Place - $ 250
